How Can We Utilize the Higher Self in Modern Day Healthcare, Both As the Practitioner and the Patient?
Despite the literal definition of psychology meaning “the study of the soul”, modern day healthcare has forgotten this early application of the term. Visionaries such as Carl Jung and Robert Assagioli introduced the soul and spirituality back into Western psychology after the terrifying events of World War Two, emphasizing meditative practices, creative visualizations, and the wisdom of our inner guidance, the Higher Self. Healthcare professionals now run the spectrum from hostility towards spirituality to fully embracing it in their practice. Event the most skeptical of practitioners would do well to conduct thorough research before making assumptions, and patients should seek out those who have experience incorporating spirituality and the Higher Self into their practice when seeking a practitioner.
